At our March luncheon meeting, SCORE business mentor Shannnon Reynolds offered some profound insights on “hiring the right person.” Drawing on years of experience in the private sector, Reynolds discussed the various skill sets to look for in a prospective employee. He also discussed tips for structuring an interview. Reynolds suggested that we provide an opportunity for job candidates to demonstrate skills during the job interview process. Hiring the right people is critical for the success of a business according to Reynolds, and employers should not rush or take shortcuts in the process. The Chamber appreciates Reynolds thoughtful presentation and looks forward to our April speaker.
